Speaking the Truth in Love - (Something to share)

Why do we find it so hard to hear the truth about ourselves? And then
when someone tells us the truth we get angry at them, and so defensive
that we miss everything that God wants us to take a look at. The fact of
the matter is that God has used imperfect man from the time of Abraham
to this present. Thankfully God did His greatest service to mankind by
leaving us the Holy Bible, with which we find truth, instruction, and
correction. God used men to write the bible and He still uses men and
women to speak truth to us today. But the question is why do we always
want to kill the messenger of the truth? When we open our bibles and
read, God is saying the same thing the person is telling us, but we
reject the messenger, and in so doing, we reject God as well. Jesus only
spoke the truth, and in Him was found no lie, every word He spoke came
from the Father and that is why He said so many times, “I tell you the
truth”, God has given us the task of teaching and training one another,
we see it not only in Christianity but in the world. And if we listen to
the truth coming from whoever God decides to use to bring it to us, we
will change, repent, grow and become better Christians, parents,
students, husbands, wives, co-workers, brothers and sisters. Jesus has
not left us orphans here on earth, not only has He given us each other,
but He has also sent the Holy Spirit to dwell inside us, to instruct, to
guide, to comfort, and to convict us. I pray that the next time someone
comes to speak the truth to you, that you will listen. In Jesus name Amen!
