RevUp with Rev. Aletheahttps://www.blogtalkradio.com/revalethea“Rev UP with Rev. Alethea” airs on Tuesdays at 7 PM (EST) and is hosted by Rev. Dr. Alethea Smith-Withers. To talk to the host or a guest during the show, DIAL (845) 277-9346. This “keeping it real” show is about LIFE… and ministers to the people of God through all phases of their experience, even up to the Higher Life of the Spirit. So, topics for discussion include everything from pop culture to politics, sexuality to spirituality, education to economics. Rev. Alethea is the Founder and Pastor of the Pavilion of God – a Baptist Church located at 6401 Chillum Pl, NW, Washington, DC. She is an avowed seeker of truth and “revs up”, accelerates and energizes your thinking about life and all of its complexities and contradictions! In addition, to being a pastor, Rev. Alethea is a Pastoral Counselor and Imago Therapy Life Coach who shares her counseling insights about individual emotional healing, relationships, and parenting. She is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC), the national community of religious and spiritual people, denominations, and organizations from all faith traditions dedicated to achieving reproductive justice. Above all, Joe reminds us that for generations, the men and women of America’s Armed Forces have put country before self.  On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, our nation honors the contributions of the nearly 22 million veterans living today, and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of liberty and justice. This Veterans Day, the VFW thanks every Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman and Coast Guardsman for their service. And we ask all Americans to say a prayer of thanks for those who are serving far away from family and friends. Without their service and sacrifice, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to cherish our many freedoms for the extraordinary gifts they are.  Joe Davis Director of Public Affairs VFW Washington Office 200 Maryland Ave., NE, Washington, DC 20002 https://www.vfw.org/VFW-in-DC/National-Legislative-Service/ jdavis@vfw.org> (o) 202-608-8357   00:59:00RevUp with Rev AletheanoJoe Davis,VFW,Veterans,Agent Orange,November 11Joe Davis, Director of Public Affairs, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Washington Office, sheds light on many of the concerns veterans face.Yes I CAN even with Breast CANcer!https://www.blogtalkradio.com/revalethea/2015/11/04/yes-i-can-even-with-breast-cancerLifestylehttps://www.blogtalkradio.com/revalethea/2015/11/04/yes-i-can-even-with-breast-cancer/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/revalethea/2015/11/04/yes-i-can-even-with-breast-cancerWed, 04 Nov 2015 00:00:00 GMTYes I CAN even with Breast CANcer!Yes I CAN even with Breast CANcer! To some Trayvon Martin is the “other brother”… the unfortunate one, the one who got caught, the one who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and, to some, he is simply the one who was a victim in a rather tragic story. But are we missing a powerful truth… is Trayvon Martin your son or brother? RCRC’s message: “It’s time to tell the truth: that most people of faith in this country – like the majority of Americans overall – want families and individuals to have access to contraception, sexuality education, and reproductive healthcare including abortion.” Rev. Knox is a national leader in the progressive faith community and a well-known advocate for reproductive and sexual health and justice, he was appointed in February 2009 by President Obama to the President’s Council on Faith-based & Neighborhood Partnerships. Rev. Knox was the founding director of the Human Rights Campaign’s Religion & Faith Program, where he supervised the creation of a national speakers’ bureau that reached more than 10 million Americans monthly. Before coming to RCRC, he served as Interim Executive Director of Integrity USA, the voice of LGBT Episcopalians and their allies, as well as serving as executive director of Georgia Equality. RCRC’s coalition of religious and faith leaders believe that it’s time to have a different conversation about the intersections of religion, abortion, sexuality, and justice, and they’re calling on people of faith, and others who believe in pro-choice and reproductive justice to join them in a process of changing the conversation. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Religious-Coalition-for-Reproductive-Choice/16918878611 http://rcrc.org/blog 00:58:00RevUp with Rev AletheanoReligious Coalition for Reproductive Choice,RCRC,"It's Time!",Rev Harry Knox,Pro ChoiceIt’s time to talk with the Reverend Harry Knox, the President and CEO of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC).
