A Life Journey

Connecting to others through the love of God.I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.And here is how to measure it--the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends. John 15:12-13 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; [fn] but if I didn't love others, I would be of no value whatsoever. Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages [fn] and special knowledge will all disappear. 1 Cor. 13

    Control Your Speech

A gentle tongue [with its healing power] is a tree of life. Proverbs 15:4

The Bible says that if a person can control his speech, he can curb his entire nature: "for we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature" (James 3:2).

No one is completely mature in the Lord, so there is always room for improvement. If your mouth is out of control, other areas of your life will also be out of control. Give your speech to God today. Ask Him to direct the words you speak, and allow Him to fill your mouth with words you speak, and allow Him to fill your mouth with words of life that lift up everyone around you.
