One of the most common, and serious, mistakes you can make in the development of your resume is to create what we at Resume Energy lovingly call a "job description resume." Simply stated, it is nothing more than a reprint of an old job description, strung together in resume form. Typically, the job seeker will show his/her position or title and then a series of "Responsible for" statements that have been picked up verbatim from a job description. This process is then of course repeated for each job the person has held.
What's wrong with that format and content? Duh, everything! Join Kim Gardner, Intuitive Career Coach, as she helps you create an ENERGIZED Resume™ that clearly states your “BRAND”, which “distinguishes you from the masses. She believes that once written, “The Energized Resume™” sells your unique brand’s story, and anyone who picks it up, glances at it, or even gleams over it, will want to get to know YOU better?
Don’t miss this show; it is about “Branding”, “Social recruiting”, and how to prepare to write The Energized Resume™. If time permits she wants to begin her next week’s discussion on the importance of setting up a LinkedIn account. Connect with her on LinkedIn; she would love a sneak “peek” at your LinkedIn profile.
