Patricia J. Turner (Pati) is a Biological Anthropologist who spent 12 years working as a Marine Scientist.  During that time she began studying anthropology and became deeply committed to conserving the wisdom of our indigenous brothers and sisters who still live sustainably on Mother Earth.   In 2004 she Founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization: Tierra Sagrada, The Sacred Earth Foundation dedicated to the conservation of indigenous cultures, their territories and their wisdom.

During the last 15 years, The Sacred Earth Foundation has hosted indigenous Shamans, Elders and Medicine Women from Greenland to Peru to share their wisdom within our communities.  Profound healing both physical and spiritual has been witnessed during these workshops and private healing ventures.  The Sacred Earth Foundation also offers opportunities for Sacred Sweat Lodges, programs of initiations, ancient traditional weddings and, in May, they will offer the ceremony of The Long Dance in the traditon of Beautiful Painted Arrow, a Picurus Pueblo/ Ute Native American who is a visionary of highest esteem.

During her journey on this path, Pati has found immense joy in the guidance she has received.  She has seen many young adults, who carried great fear over the condition of Mother Earth, find a new way of walking on her skin with great hope for the future.  In a culture that is so plagued with depression, she has witnessed the healing joy that accompanies the ancient ceremonies and beliefs of our great teachers who live in harmony with Mother Earth.
