So, I had a last minute cancellation on today. It happens, right? lol

Therefore, Ive decided to be super productive today and set the pace of progress and prosperity for 2009 by making this a "model day"

What's a model day? Well, a model day is the example one should work on consistently to set the tone for the new year! See, if you just lay around in the bed all day today, you are making the mistake of setting a lazy pattern of success for 2009. If you sit around just watching television all day, then you will miss out on various avenues of success, because its not very often anyone will walk into your livingroom or den and network with you as you watch the tele!
Another thought is sitting back and doing those "nervous things" that are not healthy to begin with. For example, nervous eating can become a terrible life of obesity. nervous nail biting is not only unsanitary but also unattractive. If you add the right activity to your life on today, then you will set the pace for something you should strive to do practically everyday! What would I suggest?

1) Making a list of 5 things that are super important to accomplish in 2009 ( dont list more than five so you can actually get something achieved)

2) plan to achieve the first two by June 30, 2009 and the the next 2 by December 1 2009 and the final thing, let it be the surprise in your life that you werent sure you could achieve, but you worked so hard at getting there, it happens and makes you feel so accomplished!

3) Take notes and really be honest with what you could add to your efforts that may hinder things from happening. For example, if you know that you should be networking, make it a point to attend a meeting that goes beyond the scope of an online social network! Great things come from cyber social networks, but even greater things come from showing up in person and changing a simple abstract online connection to a solid, concrete IMPACT in someone else life ( and yours for that matter if you meet the right person)

4) Forget New Years resolutions: Simply stop one major vice in your life and keep a dated journal of your progress and stumbles so you can see how far you've come and you can be just as proud of yourself as you want everyone else to be! Writing heals, so dont overlook the exceptional power of the pen!

5) finally, stay prayerful....sounds corny, but its so true...Seems like making it into the new year is just not enough: My heart goes out to John Travolta for losing his 16 year old son, after celebrating arriving in 2009 with him. John is ultra rich, but I know that he would give up everything to get his son back and he only way he and his family will survive this is to stay prayerful. You have an ailment or issue that makes you feel as if your path to success and peace are hindered? You must pray your way through...to whomever you pray to...and watch the change that is manifested in your life! What is there to pray about? Being better than you were last year, against making too many dumb mistakes (because we can only blame so much on being human), assurance that you are connected with the right people and making peace with those you had to leave in 2008 ( not because they died but because the relationship just wasnt healthy or productive and you lose your way by being connected with those people.) Remember, its not the QUANTITY of friends/colleagues you have, its the QUALITY...all of your blessings can come from two sources: GOD AND the one person he may have kept you connected with, so dont just be a numbers chaser because it looks good...popularity doesnt necessarily have anything to do with prosperity and profitability...
