Self-storage is a unique asset class. It has a reputation for providing relatively high yields and being quite recession resistant.  Our guest today, Alia Ott-Carter is a self-storage investor and expert.  

Alia is the co-founder of Investors in Action and manager of the Capital Storage Fund.   Over the past 15 years, Alia has acquired 13 self-storage properties, a 125-lot mobile home park, single family rental units and managed over $30M in lending transactions.  Prior to investing, Alia served as a director for philanthropy programs that have raised over $1 Billion online.

Alia is passionate about financial literacy programs and helping educate other investors.  Alia holds a degree in Communications from Chapman and Project Management Certification from Stanford University. She is a co-author of “Initiative” and "Self Storage Success Kit."
