In this podcast, we interview Lydia Monroy, find out her story of how she started at the bottom and progressed to working on over $1.5 billion in real estate deals.

Lydia Monroy is Managing Director of Benedict Canyon Equities, a private equity real estate firm focused on the acquisitions of value-add multifamily assets in the Western, U.S. She is responsible for the operations of the firm, including transaction oversight, investment analysis and strategy, investor relations and reporting. Since joining BCE in 2011, she has overseen the acquisition of 58 properties valued at $1.5 billion. In addition, she has been responsible for the disposition of 46 assets valued at $740 million. Prior to joining BCE, Lydia was the Director of Acquisitions at Roman Group, LLC, where she syndicated multifamily investments throughout Los Angeles. Lydia received a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Business. Connect with her here.
