I don't remember how I found it. Somehow I stumbled upon the site and it became an addiction. How does one come up with something like this? Is it sick... or therapeutic?

I'm talking about MyDeathSpace.com. It really was an accident that absorbed an entire day. It was like that car accident on the side of the road that you don't want to look at but you can't NOT look at.

So what is MyDeathSpace? It's a website, not affiliated with our dear MySpace, that has an index of people who have passed away that have myspace pages.

On the site you can see who has died, what they died of, links to their page, and some even have supporting links to their situation in the news.

How do they get the information? Friends, family, locals, you name it. The database has new people added everyday. Once you go to the site MyDeathSpace.com you see the database of death.

It's almost shocking to see how young many of these people are. Accident after suicide after murder. It's almost too much to handle.

It looks like this

Once you select a person and click it goes to a short bio of the death with links to their MySpace page and any other articles or links if available.

I selected the one in red and here's the bio page.

After you read that you can click the myspace page link and that is here.

This 19 year old died in a car accident where his girlfriend was driving and hit a truck. She survived.

The comments are hard to read on Mike Pose's page so I copied them for you here. This is the part where you decide if this is sick or therapeutic.

(There's more commentary at the end, skip down to the blue section if you don't care to read the comments... but I would read them. THEY START FROM YESTERDAY AND GO BACK UNTIL THE FIRST COMMENT AFTER HE DIED.)
