Super talented Christian Gregory, debuts his hit songs 'Won't get Nowhere & Count On You. Christian began playing and experimenting with instruments from the age of four, having been born into a family of musicians: his mother a piano teacher and his father a professional flautist, who played flute and piccolo on iconic film scores including many of the James Bond movies, Superman, Star Wars, ET and Indiana Jones. It was digging through his parents' extensive record collection as a young boy that first ignited a creative spark. Searching for anything non-classical, early sources of inspiration included Stevie Wonder's Hotter Than July, Marvin Gaye'sWhat's Goin' On, Bill Withers' Still Bill, and Jimi Hendrix's Experience. These albums had an energy that immediately grabbed his attention, the sound of the records and the supreme musicianship of these legendary artists providing early musical inspiration. At 14, he began studying at the junior Royal Academy of Music in London, playing with other young musicians from around the country and learning to write music in a more traditional fashion. Conversely, it was at this time that he discovered artists such as Prince, D'Angelo and The Roots, whom he cites as strong influences on the music that he creates today. After music school each Saturday, Christian would often visit the infamous Jazz Cafe in London's Camden town, hearing and mixing with musicians like Ronny Jordan and Fred Wesley. A chance meeting with Sola Akingbola of platinum selling UK funk band Jamiroquai led Christian to learn how to play the drums,His debut single won widespread praise in the UK music press and was championed by national radio stations such as XFM and BBC 6 Music. Christian Gregory is undoubtedly an artist to watch in 2014.
