This week's episode will feature Jacqueline Younger, a former prostitute, crack and PCP addict as well as a survivor of rape, incarceration and homelessness has created a non-profit transitional housing and assistance program. The program, "God is T.O.U.R.", which stand for Together Our Understood Responsiblity, was established for women and their children seeking life after abuse, addiction, prostitution and homelessness and co-occuring disorders in a supportive environment.
Jacqueline Younger and T.O.U.R. are already making a significant impact in the Washington, DC Metro area, in both short-term relief, and long-term development through subsidized apartments, free furnishings, life skills and health and wellness training as well as free mental outpatient counseling sessions.
Prior to officially creating T.O.U.R., Mrs. Younger, independently helped women and their children by bringing them into her own home and helping them determine the right direction for their lives. Now in 2012 she has people on a waiting list to get into the program as well as a wealth of volunteers to help.
T.O.U.R. is having their official Launch Event of September 27, 2012 at Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, MD
