Bob McGrath, a Teaneck songwriter and actor who appeared on Sesame Street for more than 40 years and who was recently named a Bergen County “Legend” will be our guest on Record Talk Radio at 10 a.m. Friday.

Record Reporter Lindy Washburn also will be on the broadcast to talk about her recent three-part series on the sweeping changes that have resulted to health care in New Jersey as private-for-profit companies acquire local struggling non-profit hospitals.

McGrath was one of ten people – ranging from Indian Chief Oratam to the late actor James Gandolfini – who were named by the Bergen County Historical Society as their first group of Bergen County legends. The society plans to honor them during an Oct. 15 fund-raiser in Garfield.

Washburn’s series “The For-Profit Prescription” looked at the profound changes that have occurred at six former non-profit hospitals in New Jersey that are now run by health care entrepreneurs and investors.
