Controversy over an armored Bergen County Sheriff's vehicle, Gov. Christe's recent travels and traffic problems along Route 17 will be the topics for a reporters roundtable on Record Talk Radio at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24.

Record reporters Jean Rimbach, Melissa Hayes and John Cichowski will talk about the top stories on their beats this week.

Rimbach, who covers county law enforcement issues, will discuss her story on a dispute over the Bergen County Sheriff's acquisition of two armored vehicles formerly used by the military.

Cichowski, the Record's Road Warrior, will talk about his story that looked at the number of traffic accidents along a stretch of Route 17 where a Waldwick officer was killed last week after his parked unmarked police vehicle was hit by a tractor-trailer.

And Hayes, who covers the governor's office, will talk about some of the flak that Gov. Christie received from gun control advocates during his recent trip to Connecticut.

If you have a question for any of these reporters, email your suggestions to johnensslin@gmail.com.
