Tune in on Thursday, May 15 at 12:30 p.m. when our guests on Record Talk Radio will be State Sen. Loretta Weinberg, D-Teaneck, and my Record colleague Aaron Morrison.
We'll talk to Weinberg about a little-noticed 2002 New Jersey law that has become the focus of a national gun control debate.
The law mandated the use of so-called "smart guns" that can detect the user of the weapon once the technolgy became readily available.
We'll also talk with her about a letter she plans to send to state treasurers in all 50 states urging them not to grant a sale tax exemption to the National Football League as a condition of locating the Super Bowl in their state.
On the second half of the program we'll talk with Morrison about his story in Sunday's Record about the 50th anniversary of Teaneck's decision to desegregate the school district.
We'll also talk about the aftermath of a recent Teaneck High School "prank" gone awry and the outcome of Tuesday's Teaneck municipal election.
