Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. when Record Talk Radio willl take a closer look at the recently concluded campaign for Bergen County Freeholder.

Our guests will be Deirdre Woodbyrne, campaign manager for Republican Freeholder Robert Hermansen and Adam Silverstein, campaign consultant for the two Democratic freeholder candidates, Tracy Silna Zur and Steve Tanelli.

Tanelli and Zur won the election giving the Democrats a 4-3 majority on the board starting in January.

Silverstein, born and raised in Bergen County is owner of a public relations and political consulting firm.

His firm has both private sector and political clients. Silverstein does general campaign consulting, direct mail, tv production and grassroot field programs.

He has worked on campaigns across the State of NJ and in New York. He started in politics as an intern in Bergen County in 2001 during the McGreevy for Governor campaign.

Woodbyrne served as campaign manager for Hermansen's successful 2009 campaign, then served as his Freeholder Aide, and Aide to former Bergen County Clerk Lisa Randall.

Her prior experience before moving to New Jersey, was serving as Senior Producer for the United States Senate Republican Conference, and Deputy Press Secretary, Speechwriter for US Senator Chuck Hagel.

She has been involved in campaigns on the grassroots level since 1992 both here and in Ireland.

We'll talk about the approaches each campaign took, what it takes to run a campaign in a county as large and diverse as Bergen and what effect Superstorm Sandy had on the election.
