Certified Laughter Leader Linda Scharf will be our special guest speaker today.  Laughter has been shown to have many physical, mental and emotional benefits. Simple laughter exercises, laughter meditation, and Principles of Good-Hearted Living can help bring balance, optimism and harmony into a person's life and into the world.

I often have attendees think of a number between 1 and 10 (low to high) that represents how they are feeling - physically, emotionally, mentally. I ask them again at the end of our laughing hour, and they report higher numbers at that time. When asked how they feel, I get responses like: energized, relaxed, I'm in less pain, happier, no worries. One of my favorite responses, from a lady at a Red Hat program, was "I feel like going home and cleaning my house!"
