What is the Conscience Movement? The Conscience Movement is capturing societies issue and bringing it to your attention. I believe that we have forgotten where we come from. For example, we leave our old neighborhood to pursue and achieve the American dream, once those dreams are obtained, we forget to return and give back to our former community. Here is a question to consider, are we being responsible role model for both our children and the community? We must invest in our community, both spiritually and financially. If we do not do it for ourselves; let’s do it for our future generation. We need responsible people to help start the Conscience Movement; if we want to accomplish this, we must face ourselves and admit that we have failed as a society. Once we admit our faults, then we can begin to move forward. Remember, the Conscience Movement begins from within. We have lost our sense of morality, “And the Lord said unto Cain, where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?” (Genesis 4:9). Despite the lie, the lesson here is: we must look after each other and support each other. The days of ignoring our falling brothers and sisters must come to an end; it must end! My job as a poet is to record day-to-day events in our society. I am proud to say that I did my job, so I present my handwritten observations to you. Use this series as a guide to help you begin the movement; I'll be waiting at the end.
