LaDonna Ryggs is the Managing Editor of Palladian View, a national Republican woman’s website (www.palladianview.com). She was formerly employed at Bob Jones University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication.
She has been heavily involved in Republican Party politics for over a decade. Beginning as the Executive Committeeman to her precinct, she went on to co-found Palmetto House Republican Women, and then was elected state president of the South Carolina Federation of Republican Women. After her term, she was elected to the Executive Committee of the National Federation of Republican Women, serving as a Member-at-Large.
Mrs. Ryggs served one term as the state committeeman for Spartanburg County before being elected Chairman of the Spartanburg County Republican Party (the 4th largest county in the state). She was re-elected by acclimation last year. In 2011, Politico named her as one of “50 Politicos to Watch.”
The Ryggs reside in Greer, South Carolina, and have two children and one grandchild.
