First woman president of the Hanover Chamber of Commerce discusses the importance of global partnerships and the crucial role of women in business. Dr. Christine Overton joins us to discuss her networking strategies for bringing businesses together.

Dr Overton brings 28 years of International business experience, serving the last two years until April this year, as Business Development Manager with the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Overton served as Investor Relations Manager for the County Chamber of Commerce in Wyoming, where she was the Liaison for several committees including Retail and Development, Agriculture, Energy, Natural Resources, and Government Affairs. She assisted in the writing of the 2008 Legislative Agenda in WY and introduced the first General Agenda.  Overton dedicated much time to mentoring high school and college students and introduced programs that were honored by the Governor of WY.

Former radio show host, key note speaker for high profile charities and Universities including Seton Hall, Duke and Oxford, Overton has produced documentaries which took her to India this year to showcase the extraordinary work of the Desai Eye Hospital in Pune, who offer life changing surgeries to the blind. She gave business development discourses to senior executives sponsored by the State Chamber and four regions of Rotary International.

Overton has sat on a number of prestigious boards around the world and in addition to degrees in music and theology, she is a certified hospice care volunteer; a specialist in the rehabilitation of wild animals and a meditation instructor. Overton graduated from Citizen’s Police Academy and Leadership Institute in 2008. In AZ and London, UK, she served as mediator and political advisor to the 585 federally recognized Native American Indian Nations.
