Gaderia Lightboun Wohlleb is an Afro-Caribbean Christian Poet and Essayist whose roots lie in the Island of Nassau, New Providence. Since July of 1999 Ms. Lightbourn Wohlleb has made Atlanta, Georgia her home. A 2010 graduate of St Leo University, Ms. Lightbourn Wholleb began writing and compiling her collection of poems and non-fiction essays over a period of years. Ms. Lightbourn Wohlleb’s works consist of about 50 unpublished Christian writings which are scheduled to be published under the title “Out of the Heart the Mouth Speaks”. Ms. Lightbourn Wohlleb’s collection of poems and essays have been, and continue to be influenced by her own Christian journey, by experiences gained during her tenure working as a youth advocate In Atlanta, Georgia as well as, by her earnest desire to capture through poetry, the ever present, and now more pressing dilemma facing the Africans of the Diaspora in particular, the youth.
Ms. Lightbourn Wohlleb has had the opportunity and privilege to conduct several poetry youth workshops one of which took place at Dr. Ralph Bunche Middle School here in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, Ms. Lightbourn Wohlleb has presented her poems for a number of special occasions including, The Women of Worship Day Event at The Shrine of The Black Madonna (Summer 2011).
