RING Magazine's Doug Fischer Reflects on Emanuel Steward

In 2008, Fischer became the co-editor of RingTV.com, which is the official online website for THE RING magazine. Since 2011, Fischer has served as the full editor of RingTV.com while also serving as the associate editor of THE RING magazine. Prior to joining THE RING, Fischer co-founded a pioneer boxing site in 1997 (MaxBoxing.com formerly House of Boxing) which quickly became one of the most popular and respected online boxing publications of the last fifteen years. The versatile Fischer, who is a 1993 graduate of Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, is also a well-respected analyst/color commentator for live televised boxing for various networks including HBO and Fox Sports Net. Fischer has worked fights headlining the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Kelly Pavlik, Chad Dawson, and Bernard Hopkins/Roy Jones Jr. (Hopkins-Jones Jr. - II). Fischer was also prominently involved in broadcasting many of Top Rank’s Latin Fury shows and the Golden Boy Promotion’s “Fight Night Club” series that ran on Fox Sports Net.
