The Honorable Dr. Alan C. Page will be the featured guest of the Real Sports Guys on our July 3rd, 2012 broadcast. A nine-time Pro Bowler, six-time 1st Team All-Pro Selection, and a Multiple NFL Defensive Player of the Year, he also was the NFL MVP in 1971. While still an All-Pro NFL Player, Justice Page earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1978. In 1988, Page and his wife Diane, founded the Page Education Foundation which provides financial and mentoring assistance to students of color as a reward to their volunteer service in the community. The Page Education Foundation has awarded grants to nearly 5,000 students. Justice Page has received nine Honorary Doctorate Degrees from institutions such as Duke University, University of Notre Dame, Gustavus Adolphus College, and University of New Haven which is the home of his college teammate and frequent Real Sports Guys visitor Dr. Allen Sack.

During his conversation with the Real Sports Guys, Justice Page discusses why education was so important to him while at Notre Dame, his experience of making four straight Super Bowls, observations of the current amateur athletics system, and the mission of the Page Education Foundation.  We also chat with Beloit College’s Baseball skipper, Dave DeGeorge to discuss his team’s 2012 season, recent changes in amateur baseball which have affected recruting, and the College Baseball World Series. www.realsportsguys.com
