Shortly after Karen Loucks Rinedollar wrote her book Working for Peanuts: The Project Linus Story, she was asked to share lessons learned from founding one of America’s top children’s charities with audiences far and wide.
Her intention was to inspire them into action however Karen felt that she was missing her mark. Although the audiences were touched by her stories, some didn’t seem to be moved into actions of their own.
This dilemma inspired Karen to develop The Linus Effect: Five Simple Steps to Living a Purpose-Filled Life: 1. Live with Purpose 2. Invest in others 3. Never Say Never 4. Undertake Something Bold 5. Start Today! Finally, audience members had a game plan that they could apply to their own lives and start immediately! The Linus Effect propels people into action with an understanding that they can be the change needed to make a positive difference in our world.
KAREN LOUCKS RINEDOLLAR is the Founder of Project Linus, the nonprofit charity that has provided over 4.4 million handcrafted security blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children worldwide.
