I wanted more training/technique. I auditioned and entered the prestigious LACC Theatre Academy, where I Produced and Directed in “STAND” a musical for MLK Day. I was lead actor in Shadow Box and Purlie Victorious stage plays, and studied voice and took classes in Radio Broadcasting. After graduating from LACC theatre academy I was featured on various commercials, primetime shows sitcoms, and Films including Michael Jackson Pepsi commercial and Dynasty, Eddie Murphy “48 hours”. Riding the wave of social change in 90’s an era of Hip Hop firmly planted in America provided a platform for various video appearances.  I became a HIV/AIDS activist serving as a community educator for HIV/AIDS and in 2000 entertainment coordinator Los Angeles Black Pride. I took my skills as an entertainer, salesman,  and blended the spokesperson skills to become sales manager for L’oreal Soft Sheen Carson Division while continuing to perform voiceovers, plays, fashion shows, and host night club promotions. Without a stand-alone venue aimed at them, and with L.A.’s neighborhoods becoming more diverse — thus diluting black enclaves — some gay black men are fighting for their right to party. But others are wondering if, in today's more integrated culture, there's a need for black gay bars — or any gay bars targeting a particular ethnicity. As black men respond to the Catch's closure by migrating to West Hollywood as an alternative, some feel that the lily-white area offers little hope for black men looking for fun. “We have to try to make ourselves believe that we’re wanted there and that we’re supported there, when it really is not that,” says Greg Wilson, deputy director at Realistic Education in Action Coalition to Foster Health, or Reach L.A., a nonprofit that coordinates HIV services and wellness programs for LGBTQ youth of color. Reach L.A. also stages the wildly popular Ovahness Ball, an annual ballroom competition with mostly black performers. Promoters who don't want to give anything back but expect a huge return. For instance booking cheap locals that you can see at The mall every Sunday as celebrity guest, watering down the Liqour but over charging every cup, no promotions but on Facebook & Instagram from their ragga muffin crew, hiring the same tired dj and the same annoying ass Mc yelling on the mic all night. Then 10 promoters pop up and all want to throw parties on the same day and time.. The only thing they want to do is provide a venue and then want to charge $40/$60 at the door.. like you have to be kidding me.  Most patrons at this point can simply open a gay app on their phones and poor them a glass of Liqour they bought for $10 at the local market & save themselves $100 or more if they want to meet new people and dates. I come from an era where every week the clubs offered atmosphere, themes, changing of djs, brought in hot guys from around the country, had contest, gave you an escape from everyday reality. "I want my daughter to grow up seeing a women lead our country and knowing that her possibilities are limitless," said Beyonce, sporting a black-and-white polka dot pantsuit. "And that's why I am with her." Her performance was backed by dancers in blue pantsuits, an obvious reference to Clinton. The Cleveland concert, meant to drive up turnout among young people in Ohio, was announced weeks ago, but only as a Jay Z performance, not a joint appearance with his wife. "We have unfinished business to do," Clinton told the audience after the concert. "More barriers to break and with your help, a glass ceiling to crack once and for all!" Riding in the car with his girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter, Philando Castile was pulled over by police in Minnesota Wednesday night.
