Ravenbeauty is a long time columnist for the entertainment industry. She is best known for her breaking stories and casting scoops not found in mainstream media. She is a well known advocate for the soap genre and has helped to organize many campaigns over the years to save the genre and the actors themselves from losing their jobs. Raven is currently battling cancer and has been a strong advocate for more awareness on Epithelioid Angiosarcoma of the breast. Raven underwent a radical Mastectomy with extra wide margins in October of 2011 (Epithelioid Angiosarcoma was found in biopsy samples from both breasts). The pathology report blindsided Raven and her family when it returned with findings of not one, but two cancers inside the breast tissue. Her primary Breast Cancer from 2001 had also returned as well (Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma). Although Raven was told to get her affairs in order, she has chosen to fight instead. She is using alternative medicine to treat both cancers. There will be tears, laughter, joy, and wonderful surprises in store! Due to Ravenbeauty's health, some shows may need to cancelled, rescheduled, or even shortened. Shows will typically run 30-90 minutes (more or less). Embrace each day and celebrate life! XOXO! Update on Ravenbeauty: The cancer has spread, and she has chosen to undergo a powerful chemo regimen including Abraxane and Avastin in a desperate attempt to prolong her life. It's not what Raven wanted to do, but she found herself at a door with only one option left to her. Her white blood count is low, and she has been quite ill from the chemo, but Raven is fighting hard to beat this. Her show is on hiatus until further notice as a result. There are some wonderful stars waiting in the wings who have agreed to do her show, but Raven's focus is on the battle at hand. Prayers are appreciated. Hopefully Raven will be back hosting her shows, and making us smile and laugh once again here soon.
