Call in to speak with the host
Lil Mama took a lil too much for granted in terms of her teenage success. “When you’re young and you’re coming up from the streets, the first thing that you think about is just making it and making it big and being prosperous,” the rapper, whose debut album, 2008’s Voices of the Young People, yielded the hit single Lip Gloss, tells Hampton Blu Radio host Stacey B. “So being prosperous earily in my career, I thought that was something that was supposed to happen. A lot of people in the industry were very happy for me and let me know that someone who’d just hit the scene having a hit record like that was a big thing.” Speaking of big things, be sure to catch Lil Mama as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, debuting Oct. 21 on VH1.
It's good to talk.
