Call in to speak with the host
Leave it to unlikely crooning sensation Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.—who might best be described as Sammy Davis, Jr. meets the Chairman of the Board—to use music to keep the peace. “In my teenage years, playing basketball in the inner city, it was kind of dangerous,” the America’s Got Talent champ tells Saturdays host Joy Keys. “So on the court, instead of trash-talking, I’d sing Frank Sinatra songs. If I just dunked on you, I’d be like, ‘Fly me to the moon…’ And it would make people laugh instead of arguing. And a lot of the guys would be like, ‘Man, you really sound like that guy!’”
It's good to talk.
