  So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11

  
  

  Disappointing is getting a coupon for something free, shopping for the item and getting to the checkout line only to be informed that your coupon has expired! The coupon is void. There is no extension, no grace period. It is no good and it cannot be used or exchanged.

  
  

  I am elated today that the promises of God are not like coupons to be exchanged or bartered. His promises do not expire. As a matter of fact, the bible says His promises are yes and amen.

  
  

  Today, your situation may be screaming FAILURE to you. There is a possibility you are experiencing a drought. Rain has been promised, but there is not one cloud in sight. The word of the Lord has been spoken over your life and at this point, quite frankly, you are not interested in hearing anything else. You just want to see accomplished what has already been spoken over your life. Do not be distressed; for the Lord is shield about you, he is your glory and the lifter of your head.

  
  

  I want to encourage you today to keep your hands to the plow, keep your eyes focused on Heaven, keep your hearts close to the heart of the Father and know that He is not lack or slack on His promises. His word is still good. God is not finished working out the matter at hand. He has not turned His back and He definitely has not forgotten about you. There is no expiration date on His word! Philippians 1:6 empowers us to increase our level of expectation that what God started in our lives He will perform. He is going to do it. It shall come to pass!

   

  
  

  Walk in faith today knowing that the word of the Lord for your life, though yet to be fulfilled, is not null and void, but it is a living, breathing word that will be made manifest in your life.
