    Date / Time:

    Obama: Yes we can maybe

When Obama declared victory over McCain, he used a now infamous phrase ‘Yes we can’.  And he re-affirmed that phrase throughout his inauguration speech.

But one thing that I can’t reconcile is that of making big promises.

Sure Obama will more than likely have a Democratic-controlled congress and senate for the duration of his (first?) term but will he actually be able to deliver?  The expectations surrounding his presidency and the euphoria generated may be more than he (or anyone else for that matter) can handle.

So while I think Obama will do many good things, I’m skeptical that he’ll be able to deliver on his promises.
