Get ready for a great show with lots of great ranting! We say it each week but tomorrow's show is going to be awesome. There's going to be some great ranting and raving. And it's going to be one of those shows where there's some spleen venting everyone can get into. We'll be covering such topical topics as workers' rights, the new industrial relations laws and public transport in Melbourne.
And on top of that we'll be looking at the Stop Logging Brown Mountain and Paid Maternity Leave campaigns.
Plus the Minister for Activities un-Australian will be dropping in to join Gregg and Alex

When Obama declared victory over McCain, he used a now infamous phrase ‘Yes we can’. And he re-affirmed that phrase throughout his inauguration speech.
But one thing that I can’t reconcile is that of making big promises.
Sure Obama will more than likely have a Democratic-controlled congress and senate for the duration of his (first?) term but will he actually be able to deliver? The expectations surrounding his presidency and the euphoria generated may be more than he (or anyone else for that matter) can handle.
So while I think Obama will do many good things, I’m skeptical that he’ll be able to deliver on his promises.

This post really has nothing to do with politics directly but is something that I’ve noticed and decided to comment about. Last year at this time I was spending my days enjoy Bali, its people and its beer so really missed out on beach cricket. And I don’t mean the beach cricket I remember playing with mates at the beach in summer. Somehow beach cricket got complicated.
Turning on the television over the past couple of weekends, I’ve been astounded to see beach cricket. There was a green mat and advertising barriers with television towers and seating for onlookers. I was amazed. Now when heading down to the beach we can think of soft drinks, alcohol and take-away food while smacking the tennis ball about with the willow.
It’s very sad when something truly summer is bulldozed for advertising and television towers.
