    Another great show

Today's show was, in my humble opinion, a success!  Of course it's going to take a couple of shows for some listeners to get back on board after changing the day and time of the broadcasts.  But instead of being a fortnightly show, I have made it a weekly show; I've plenty of material to rant n rave about.

Without putting too fine a point on the matter, I think the show was at the very least a more thorough and logical rant and rave session.  The politics behind the issues on the show are the important pieces to the puzzle of these kinds of issues; and the stuff that isn't really exposed for fear of the public learning of the realities.

The show's issues live on at the discussion board where you can continue to vent your spleen about the issues raised in the show.

Next week's show should be a ripper and there will be a segment dedicated to the Victorian local government elections.  By then the final results should be known and protestations lodged so I can vent my spleen and explore the results.

Stay tuned for more Rant n Rave Radio next Sunday, 5pm to 6pm AEDT

  • Original Air Date:

    Rant n Rave Radio

Rant n Rave Radio is a 1hr program designed to talk about politics in Australia and to give listeners an opportunity to be heard beyond the limited mainstream media outlets. There will be a range of issues talked about each week, including special shows dedicated to major political events like state and federal elections. I'll try to make guests a regular feature of the program.

Join the Rant n Rave Radio Forum

The fun of ranting and raving about issues facing Australia doesn't end when the show ends.

Continue to debate the issues from the show by joining the Rant n Rave Radio Forum

A one hour show just can't give you enough time to explore the issues to the degree they deserve although some of the issues are often discussed across more than just one show - a great example of that is the one concerning public transport in metropolitan Melbourne.

Of course you can also join in the debate at my blog which supplies a lot of the material used on the show.

Make sure you join the Rant n Rave Radio Forum so you can vent your spleen some more and debate the issues.  Make sure you keep it clean or you will be banned!

A new day, a new time, but still the same cool show

There has been a remarkable response to my show from Australians; it's been positive but for those really wanting to listen in the time slot for my broadcast was just a little too late.

And I have to admit the 11pm time slot was a bit of killer, especially after a long day at work.

So to make it more convenient for my listeners and myself, Rant n Rave Radio will be broadcasting each Sunday from 5pm AEDT.

I've extended the time for the show to one hour and increased the time allocated for the segments of the broadcast.  Over the coming months I'll start looking for others wishing to be part of the Rant n Rave Radio experience to host their own shows under the RnRR banner.

The next broadcast will be on 30 November from 5pm to 6pm AEDT

IT'S A NEW DAY, A NEW TIME BUT STILL THE SAME COOL SHOW

    Tonight's Broadcast

Tonight's broadcast of Rant n Rave Radio is going to be much better than my first broadcast.  For starters it's actually going to be captured properly this time around (note to self remember to turn off mute).  The other big difference will be that tonight's show will be a much more deliberate broadcast rather than ranting and raving with no connection or relevance.

Fortunately that was the first show, and listeners can be sure of a real treat tonight.

I'll be discussing a range of topical Australian issues from public transport to industrial relations and most things in between.  I'll be putting a couple of politicians on parade and starting a new segment I call "Point of Order" - it's an open thread for listeners to talk about spin and rhetoric from our political leaders (national, state and local).

So make sure you tune in at 11pm AEDT tonight for Rant n Rave Radio
