It is imperative that we address the issues and the underlying causes of the tragedy that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The loss of innocent life and the tragic site of the event can not cloud our actions. We must ignore political correctness and openly debate the issues that caused the event.
At this point no one can argue this was the act of a sane or balanced person. Mental health and its effects on society have been an unwilling pawn since the 1970's and the rights of the many are being infringed upon by the few. We are constantly being asked to give up something in order to make us safe, but we never talk about the 500lb gorilla in the living room, those that are a burden to society but allowed to float through without responsbility.
Lets talk, lets argue, but lets get this problem out in the open. Mental health issues are important and ignoring them wont make it go away.
