ESB: But People Don't Want to Hear About Me!

We're taught that people hire you or buy your stuff because you're addressing them and their needs, right? So many of us think that they don't ever need, or want, to hear about us. And really, what a relief, because I don't want to have to deal with talking a bunch about me. I'm boring, nobody cares, I'm being too selfish/narcissistic/overbearing... If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone! It can be really difficult to promote your service or product without talking about...YOU. And yet most of us are reluctant to take up that much of the stage. Which sucks, because our potential clients want to know about and decide whether they can trust you.
