Queen Speaks Radio (QSR) is a straight-forward and motivating internet radio show broadcasting every Monday night. Queen Unique and NativeSun focus on topics which affect African Americans with an emphasis on the arts as well as the importance of community and parental involvement, education, Autism, AIDS & HIV Awareness and current events for Black America. The purpose of QSR is not to dwell on and complain about the issues we face as African Americans but to eliminate boundaries, increase self confidence, restore family bonding and delve up resolutions as well as resources which will position us in the right direction by which our destinies shall manifest. One of QSR's main goals is showing the world that our culture defines the arts, creativity, diversity and God-given talents all in one "edu-taining" online radio atmosphere by highlighting a diverse array of talent from poets/spoken word artists, authors, musicians, conscious rappers, entrepreneurs, fashion & graphic designers and all other artists. While QSR desires to deliver innovative and inquisitive programming; our first priority is to maintain a genuine, down-to-earth & fun atmosphere so that our messages do not exceed the comprehension of this generation (who are the ones who need to hear it the most!). See, Mama taught me to ALWAYS speak with my mouth FULL so come inside, grab a drink, kick back and prepare to get REAL with ya girl Queen Unique and my "swag-a-docious" co-host NativeSun (and BOY it ain't no tellin what he might say lol)...

Why is there so much unnecessary competition on Blog Talk Radio?
In my short span of time as a BTR host; I have never come across two hosts who were even vaguely similar...EVER. Even when two hosts tackle similar topics, they are approached at such varying and unique degrees that the two could NEVER be compared. I, as a newcomer to the BTR online radio venue, always take time to research and find out if there are any upcoming or recent shows similar to my topics prior to scheduling them and if in any instance so; I have been SURE to approach the topic with my own individual outlook and style. I have even went so far as to research who was airing and on what dates before I ever decided to schedule my air times and no matter how heavy something weighs on my soul; it has been my PURPOSE not to schedule a random show on someone else's time. But somehow, someway…I still happen to catch the wrath of the petty drama. Not to mention other hosts which I’ve had conversations with who have made blatant remarks about other hosts and their topics and YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Although it should not matter one way or the other, I do these things out of sheer RESPECT which I believe is due to anyone and I expect exactly the same. And if I must say so myself, there IS NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN my good people! Topics and ideas are not copy written so how could you have the gall to insinuate that someone "stole" your idea?! Seriously, can you not see the adolescent humor in this? I mean, this isn't the rap game so how could there be a thing such as "Radio Host-beef"?!?!?!
With all of the SERIOUS issues in our world today, how dare we ADULTS waste the time or energy to indulge in such petty antics?! I am especially surprised because the majority of the hosts I encounter in my particular circle have been predominantly minorities and African Americans and quite frankly as a YOUNG African American woman, that disappoints me all the more. I am a firm believer that we all are in positions of power and influence due to having the advantage of an open forum which offers us the limitless opportunity to engage in uplifting and supporting each other while simultaneously reversing the negative impact which mainstream media has embedded into our and our youth’s mentalities for years past and years to come!
So note to ALL…maybe we should focus our efforts in the struggle to unite and better ourselves and not fall victim to self-destruction, pointless competition and these childish attempts to manipulate, downgrade and “out-do” another one of our own!
Note to the ones who “purposely steal show ideas” (as much of an idiosyncrasy as that term sounds like) how about you utilize your own brainpower to add an originality to it thus avoid this drama.
And in closing I’d like to reference the words of our own brother Rodney King…DAMN…“Can’t we all just get along?”
Much love, PEACE PLEASE and many blessings to all my fellow BTR hosts and listeners…

PS. By the way…if this offends you…you probably should check yourself.

In the short time I have been merely a visitor on here, I am shocked at all that has gone on. It is very amatuerish and people obviously believe their own hype. Some people need to come back down to earth and out of themselves then maybe I listen to grown ass, beef free adults doin a good show.

Well, I tried to read the entire blog but once I clicked "more", the font got too small for these ol' eyes...lol but I'm sure you're right on point...all beefs, especially on the net are silly & waste energy that could be put to better use on more important issues. ~Mo'Kha

I agree with most, if not all, of what Chi-Town Flawless said. Let's be real: There are a lot of QUALITY shows on BlogTalkRadio (hosted by Black and White hosts), and then there are the "average" and "amateurish." I think those that fall into the latter two categories need to create artificial 'controversies' in order to get people to listen. Otherwise, no one would....

I have been witnessed beef not just on BTR, but you see it on myspace as to who can post the most, whose the most popular etc...who cares for real...if a person is doing them they seriously do not have time to worry about the next man, because I don't care who got next...I got NOW! SassyScribe

Ninjas are just happy to be on the radio and once they get on there, the attention whore quality comes out of them, so they stage controversies, beefs, etc. to attract that other host's fanbase. Its really stupid, but I've heard a lot of these shows who's hosts are beefing, and very few of them are every any good, which is why they need some kind of beef to attract an audience instead of just putting on a good show and promoting it.
