WHAT IF IT WERE YOU? I ask this question each time an injustice happens and action from us are needed.. I am puzzled about the apathy that we have when it comes to injustice. It appears that if it is not directly affecting us individually, we just aren’t feeling the pain of someone else, the loss of someone else……..
It’s really sad because many reading this may not ever have anything happen to you or a member of your family and have not ever HAD any injustices. Many reading this probably don’t know what it’s feels like to be locked up in jail for a crime you didn’t commit. Maybe you have not imagined having YOUR voice taken away…….YOUR RIGHTS taken away….. YOU can no longer kiss your children goodnight……Can you imagine? Perhaps you have NOT been in the wrong place at the wrong time, have NOT been framed and your FREEDOM denied.……But what if it did? IT DOES AND HAS HAPPENED……..Who will fight for your innocence when you cannot? Wouldn’t YOU want someone to take the time to read an email, write a judge, call a representative, join a campaign for justice for YOU? Would YOU want someone to care about what has happened to YOU? And FIGHT for you?
This is your opportunity to get INVOLVED and help someone else. Jamie and Gladys Scott are in need our help. I believe they are innocent based on what I have read about this case. Please click the link http://www.freewebs.com/nlockha/index.htm and read it for yourself. Please do not ignore. We are their only hope for justice and freedom.
Below is a sample letter that was sent to the Sentencing Project, please take the time to personalize it and send it to them to help Jamie and Gladys Scott. Jamie and Gladys were wrongfully convicted of an armed robbery for which they received double life sentences in 1993. They have been incarcerated 14 years. They both have children. Read the case and you will also come to the conclusion that these women are INNOCENT.
The website to the Sentencing Project is http://www.sentencingproject.org/ , there is a form on the site where you contact them. Please cut and paste the letter or your own communication in the space provided. It only takes a minute and it would help these Sisters get justice. Thank you for your time.
The Letter:
Hello,
I am writing to seek your assistance in helping Jamie and Gladys Scott, We believe that Jamie and Gladys Scott were wrongfully convicted of armed robbery for which they received double life sentences in 1993. Life sentences for a crime in which no one was murdered or seriously injured. Life sentences for a crime they didn’t commit. According to supporter Nancy Lockhart, the transcripts state that less than $12.00 dollars was stolen during the robbery for which they were convicted. Nancy Lockhart says that witnesses confessed during the trial that the sheriff coerced and threatened them to lie on the Scott Sisters. They have been in prison now for 14 years away from their children and family. They really need your help; here is the website that contains all the information, including links to the transcripts. If you would please look them over, I am sure you will find that there is gross injustice being done to these two women. http://www.freewebs.com/nlockha/index.htm . Once you have reviewed them, a link on the Sentencing Project website to their story would be helpful. Thank you for your time, any thing you could do would be appreciated.
Sincerely
