When people think of mental illness, there is a stigma attached to it, that a person is crazy, irrational, abnormal, or unstable.  Today's guest, Lyn Smith, discusses her suggestions for overcoming the stigmas associated with mental illness, as well as her thoughts on how we can help people get the help they need and deserve.

Lyn Smith is a woman of many dimensions.  She is a writer, speaker, mental health advocate and the founder of Mindful Ministries, which she established to equip the churched and unchurched to deal with emotional hurt so they may be healed and made whole.  Though we tend to focus on physical health, she finds mental health is often overlooked and people tend to suffer in silence because they have been manipulated into thinking they cannot effectively fulfil their purpose in life.  Through Mindful Ministries, Lyn intends to break the silence.  An avid researcher reader, researcher and writer, she currently resides in Tennessee with her husband and two fur babies, Lady and Angel.
