On our upcoming program we are looking at the psychoactive cacti which contain mescaline and other alkaloids.  What is the difference between mescaline, which is a phenylalamine and dmt, which is a triptamine?  What are their different effects on neuron receptors?  Why is mescaline called an empathogen?

How many psychoactive cacti are there? Where do they exist in the world?  What are their effects?

What are psychoactive cacti's role in indigenous cultures and shamanic journey?
