Cynthia Rothrock is one of the most popular and respected female Martial Arts movie stars in America. In the 80’s, she was one of the premiere weapons and kata performers in the world and became an undefeated five-times world champion in forms. She has five black belts in different Martial Arts stiles including Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, and several styles of kung fu.

After appearing in a Kentucky Fried Chicken advertisement, Cynthia ventured into action movies. Her first full-length motion picture was "Yes Madam," alongside Michelle Yeoh. The film was a huge success, breaking all records in Hong Kong at that time. Her consequent films include "The Hostage" (1997), "The Dukes of Hazard: Reunion" (1997), "American Tigers" (1997), "Redemption" (2001), "Outside the Law" (2002), "Bala Perdida" (2003), and "Xtreme Fighter" (2004).

Cynthia also co-owns a Martial Arts studio in California, which is part of the United Studios of Self-defense chain. On the personal note, she has a daughter named Skye, who is an aspiring actress and martial artist, too.
