The Tao Brothers are Accem Scott and Michael Clark, a bi-racial teaching team with more than 30 years of combined experience in movement, meditation techniques and methods of complimentary medicine. They chose the name “Tao Brothers,” because it reflects their mission: achieving brotherhood and sisterhood by teaching people methods of mind-body harmony. Michael Clark is a certified Tai Chi and Qigong teacher whose passion is helping others lead healthier and more balanced lives. Michael studied with Chris Luth and Roger Jahnke. He also traveled four times to China to learn Qigong in hospitals, monasteries and sacred mountains. In 2003, he founded Heaven & Earth Tai Chi in Asheville, NC and now lives in Mexico, returning to the States for periodic workshops. Accem Scott is a Naturopath, Homeopath, Acupuncturist, Reiki Master, and Martial Arts Teacher. His background includes study in Asian, Indian, African, and Western healing modalities. He specializes in Qigong, Bagua and homeopathy. Accem received his Bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Michigan State University. He later began a medical program. Disillusioned with the medical school, he went to China to study martial arts. As his travels continued, he pieced together global healing practices from around the world to form his way of life that he now wants to share with others. Accem is the author of The American Barefoot Doctor's Manual and co-producer of the cable television program “Conscious Movement.” The Tao Brothers produced a DVD “The Best of Conscious Movement,” consisting of the best segments from their mind-body-spirit television show. In the summer of 2008, they took Qigong to the people on a tour called Conscious Movement Across America in an effort to bring health, wellness and fellowship to all Americans across racial, economic and religious boundaries.
