Let's continue to highlight the new women's study, Pure Emotion. You’ve probably heard “Life’s not fair.” many times. Perhaps your parents told you “Life’s not fair” when you had an early disappointment. Or you’ve told your own children “Life’s not fair” as they’ve whined about not getting what they wanted. The truth is…life isn’t fair if we take fairness literally. Life’s not impartial. Life doesn’t always fit into the rules. What are the rules anyway? Who decides? With a changing perception of who and what is right and wrong and who gets to decide what’s right and wrong anyway, how can we actually even tell whether life’s fair because what’s fair to you might not be fair to me!
And so goes the cycle of the fairness of life. Let’s face it. We live in a tolerant society – sort of. We seem to be able to tolerate anything except what infringes on our “rights,” which end up being defined by our wants, convenience, and preferences.
The truth is Truth. Capital T. We can pretend there’s no absolute truth. We can behave as if there’s no absolute truth. We can teach there’s no absolute truth. But that doesn’t make it so. The truth is, whether you like it or not, there is a God. He created the earth. He created you. He gives you a choice to be in a relationship with him or not. Seeking him or not. Living with him in eternity or not.
It's good to talk.
