With all the money in the world, you still cannot void consequences of addiction. However, when someone of fame and fortune has a run-in with the law, some want stiffer penalties. "Someone like that shouldn't get away with it", they may say. But that type of thinking is, in essence, a double standard. Why should otherwise successful individuals receive a more stern sentence. Justice should be blind.
