    Zombie Workers in the workplace.. cesspool of low paying jobs. WORKING FAST FOOD: CUSTOMER SAYS 'Yeah, I want a... gimme a.." 'ONLY IF YOU SAY PLEASE, SAY PLEASE OR I WON'T GIVE IT TO YA.. COME ON MAN! COME ON, MAKE UP YOUR MIND!' "Your total is $5.40.. hello, hello! you still didn't say thank you!" Yrs ago, I termed the phrase 'Zombies' for the unspeaking, unsmiling retail and restaurant workers who wouldn't tell you what you owed, or say hello or goodbye to customers. Too many of them remained strangely expressionless while talking with their friends on the phone (at work) while simultaneously ringing up your order. This seems to be getting better, but I am still hearing way too many reports of people saying they are treated rudely by laughing fast food and other low paid retail workers..one was from a prolific intelligent woman who had many degrees. What is with this generation? That is not acceptable. Customers have been laughed at as co-workers exchange glances with a paused 'What?' and then laughter. And the managers apparently tolerate it. Just because you have a terrible situation, job, and receive low pay does not excuse you mistreating your customers. If you can't work with the public, don't.I'm reporting u to your manager", "Oh well", was the worker's response. Rude retail workers, Purposeful bad work behavior, Zombies with no common courtesy Jobs etting hopes up
