Book Stores want your money for consignment packages and extra money to allow you to have a book signing event at their location. Your publishing company wants you to pay extra money for the marketing of your book. Your Publishing company wants you to pay extra money to put you on a T. V. show or radio show. Once Your Publishing company takes your money to self publish a book then they seem to disappear, vanish into thin air, and are hard to contact unless of course you want to buy back your books at author discounts, in which case then they are happy to assist you to take more of your money.
