Protectors Portalhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/protectorsportalMilitary,Veterans,Police Officers,Fire Fighters. A place to share history and tell our stories. I've been involved in the emergency career field since I was 16. I was a volunteer firefighter, National Guard, and police officer. I was in Iraq and 9/11. I know from my experiences that I have some amazing stories. I thought that we needed a place as veterans and first responders to let ourselves vent and tell our stories. I will also be featuring organizations that assist first responders and veterans. I will also be bringing medical professionals on board to speak about new methods that are being used to cope with PTSD, anxiety, TBI etc. PTSD is a subject that needs to be discussed and brought out in the open. We as first responders and veterans do not need to be embarrassed to express or opinionate our views on PTSD. It's more appropriate to bring attention to the matter and focus on the positive and our futures. enCopyright Josh Weddell (C/O Blogtalkradio)Fri, 14 Jun 2019 23:30:00 GMTMon, 10 Aug 2015 14:54:49 GMTEducationBlogTalkRadio Feed v2.0https://dasg7xwmldix6.cloudfront.net/hostpics/9cad2149-a8ec-4154-b468-8b9ea6985ec6_eagle_256.jpgProtectors Portalhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/protectorsportalMilitary,Veterans,Police Officers,Fire Fighters. I was assigned to 1st Battalion 6th Marine Regiment, a light infantry Battalion as a Communicator. When I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2004 as an Infantry communications Marine, I never imagined that I would find myself in combat giving my brothers-and-sisters-in-arms haircuts in the most hostile and dangerous environments in the world. But that’s where life took me. Cutting for over 10 years at this point the barbershop, I’ve since been splitting my time between upstate NY, and New York City with clientele of veterans and civilians and events. I am also a NY state prison barber, and go to different prisons each month. This mobile ability not only exemplifies the novelty but also my mission of helping all walks of life by not being help down by brick and mortar. “Warriors are the ones that bear the weight of the people, that translation is the same in any warrior based indigenous society.
