The LGBTQ Spiritual Summit: Rev. Jerry Troyer

Rev. Jerry Troyer is the founder of the LGBTQ Spiritual Summit.  He asks, "With more and more spiritual organizations accepting members of the LGBTQ community, are we ready to reconnect with our spiritual side?  And do we need to heal our relationship with our higher self (God, Spirit, the Universe, our Higher Power)?"

A native of San Diego County, Rev. Jerry Troyer holds a Masters Degree in Religious Studies from Emerson Theological Institute.  He has been senior minister of Joyful Living Spiritual Center in San Diego since 2005. Growing up in a very conservative Lutheran church required Rev. Jerry to admit, accept and embrace the truth of who he is as a gay man, which, along with his journey though a family member’s substance abuse, is the foundation for his book, Coming Out to Ourselves...Admitting, Accepting and Embracing Who We Truly Are.
