Producer/host Nicholas Snow called Thailand home for 5.5 years and plans on returning.  During his stay he had the opportunity to meeting and work with some of the Kingdom's leading advocates for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights, including Anjana Tang Suvarnananda.

Anjana Tang Suvarnanda has been a human rights activist and professional for the past 30 years. She was the co-founder and currently Chair of Anjaree Lesbian Group, the first organization that raised the issues of rights of LGBTI (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders and intersex) people in Thailand. The present focus of Anjaree is to respond to the needs of LBTI youth through campaigns to prevent violence and prejudice against LBTI youth in schools and communities.

Anjana has previously worked as a Social Science Researcher and lecturer with a focus on gender, sexuality, health and rights at two leading Thai universities, Mahidol and Thammasat, and with several HIV/AIDS and women’s organizations.
