Silent River Film Festival was founded by filmmaker, actor and poet Kalpna Singh-Chitnis to promote art of cinema and share experences of creativity. Founded in 2011 on the 40th anniversary of Irvine, the festival is the city's first international film festival. It is a huge draw for independent filmmakers and audiences worldwide.Dedicated to the independent filmmakers of the world, Silent River Film Festival is established with the vision to bring "East and West" together to share their best work of films and "Cinema for Causes" on one platform to raise awareness about the issues that are important to us, and provide them active support.The festival also aims to create more opportunities for female filmmakers, support student filmmakers and by bringing art and business of cinema together every year to the city of Irvine, making it a premier destination in the industry of motion picture art and entertainment.Call 949.394.5148 and see the sites below for more information.
