    On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    On Dr. King,
     
    I believe his message of nonviolence should be practiced on ourselves for once.  I think Dr. King's non violent position was good for his day.  It showed all parties what was in their hearts.  Now, we, as black people (who I call prodigal people) must begin practicing nonviolence in our urban comminities.
     
    It is a spirit of cowardice that causes us to devour each other in our own communities while continuing to practice nonviolence on the children of our former slave-masters.  We should practice nonviolence on ourselves FIRST.  We are the ones who have been made foolish and defenseless, so why kill each other?  Let's bring Dr. King's message of nonviolence home for once!
