Probably Uncalled For...

Why Talk Radio Was Invented. Hosted by author/syndicated columnist Dr. Thomas Keister and "The Internet Legend," ppdingles, the show takes an often cynical look at the best, the worst, and the least damn surprising of the week you're amazed you've only made it halfway through. Current events, politics, entertainment, pop culture, we discuss all the crap getting beamed into space to state the case we're an intelligent species. Yeah...we're boned...

Too big for jail?...Not only no, but hell no...

You just have to love how this works, folks...in Canada, some 430-pound barrel of gravy recently had his sentence reduced, for drug dealing, because his lawyer argued the jail was not doing enough to address issues his big fat a** was facing. According to lunch box's attorney, tables and chairs were not big enough to accommodate his client, and the poor prison diet resulted in a 50-pound weight gain. The idiot judge presiding over the case took mercy (or pity, or whichever) on this fat b**tard, who will now be released back into the wild in fourteen months (he had spent over a year and a half in custody awaiting sentencing) Now I was unable to find in the article how much time the guy was originally facing, but I guess it was a moot point. What it leaves unanswered is when is society gonna pull its head out of its collective a**. Try pulling that in America...I'm too fat for jail, I'm claustrophobic, I'm allergic to getting shived, etc., and see how far that takes you...

Oh...that's right...almost forgot. In America, you don't have to be fat or phobic or insecure to avoid jail time...just in the middle of your 15 minutes of fame. Take CSI actor Gary Dourdan, who recently got even less than a smack on the wrist for a plethora of drug possession charges. For pleading guilty to possession of cocaine and ecstasy, Dourdan got a heroin possession charge dropped, and he will have to enter a treatment program consisting of 30 hours of classes.

Yep...classes. Not even rehab, which probably wouldn't be a bad idea for a guy who was popped with cocaine, heroin, and ecstasy on him all in one fell swoop. Guess they could have went hard-line on him and sentenced him to a whole hour and change of jail time, like most celebrities nowadays, but you don't need me to tell you that...
