Ruth Shaw began practicing Yoga and Meditation over 35 years ago and in 2002 received her Teacher Training Certification in Thailand.

Ruth’s background in Classical Hatha Yoga has expanded to include Ashtanga, (power) Iyengar, (alignment)  Kundalini (dynamic breathing) Yin Yoga (slow deep stretching for joints), Restorative Yoga and Chair Yoga for Seniors. Her classes, whatever level, focus on connecting to the breath, developing body-mind awareness, core strength, muscle tone, improved posture and inner confidence and radiance. 

In 2008 Ruth wrote and self published “Kitchen Yoga – Off the Mat Yoga for People Who Have No Time” and received great book reviews from national and international magazines. She’s demonstrated her Kitchen Yoga concept on many local TV shows and is a published writer for print and online health and wellness magazines.

Ruth teaches at various studios and corporations in the Toronto area, facilitates Yoga for Golf Clinics and is currently developing a certified Yoga Teacher Training for Senior’s Yoga. Ruth also facilitates Meditation groups and yearly Yoga Retreats in places of quiet beauty.
